Discover the city by pedaling
San Sebastián has bike lanes and areas designated for cycling, making this an ideal city to be explored by bike. We will start our tour from the Boulevard and continue along the pretty Concha promenade, one of the city’s most emblematic places. You can pedal along the waterfront and enjoy breathtaking views of the bay and Santa Clara Island and the Urgull and Igeldo hills on each side of the bay.
We will continue the route to the Peine del Viento, an iconic sculpture by artist Eduardo Chillida located at the mouth of the Bay of La Concha. It’s an ideal place to stop, taking photos, and enjoying the seascape.
We will climb to a specific point on Mount Igeldo to enjoy the most spectacular panoramic views of the city and the mountains up to the pyrenees.
Moving away from the coast, we will explore some inland neighborhoods giving you a comprehensive view of the city, passing through the university campus, the football stadium and the professional fronton of Atano III, the place where the traditional Pelota is being played – again one of these typical Basque things you would want to and know more about after our tour.
We will then encounter the Urumea River using the biking path along the river banks to having a gentle ride back to the city center, concluding the tour in the Gros neighborhood, where will have the opportunity to learn more about the iconic Kursaal building.
At the end of this tour, you will have a different perception of the city.
